From Melbourne architect Edwards Moore, a defiantly pleasant renovation of an inhospitable urban home. Facing a long and narrow ground floor space, Moore took the ambitious step of inserting not one, but two court yards into the floor plan, dramatically improving the natural light and air flow. Elements of Japanese gardens in the court yards offset with not-so-vaguely-dilapidated design touches make for a compelling look that I wouldn't mind making my own. For more, visit Edwards Moore.
