Generator Hostel in Berlin Mitte

Leave it to Europe's popular hostel brand Generator to create another amazing place to stay in Berlin's most exciting neighborhood. Designed by Ester Bruzkus with WAF Architects and DesignAgency, the space is intended to embody the "incredible contrasts" of Berlin, marrying leather and plush carpet with concrete and picnic tables. Defying the expectation (or, at least, my naive American expectation) of the sparse dorm-style hostel, the designers sought to make art very much a focus of the guests' experience, with murals by street artist Theirry Noir and sculptures by Bella Leonard.
